Q: Hi there does anybody know if asthma inhaler holders can be recycled and if so where please? : )?

A: Ask your doctor to put inhaler insert only on the prescription. I’ve been doing this for years. You then only get the spray and the plastic dispenser can be washed over and over and will last yonks.

Q: Asthmatics with a milk allergy, I need your help!?
About three months ago I found out I am pretty ALLERGIC to milk and have had to eliminate it COMPLETELY from my diet. However, I am still breaking out in hives. I believe I have found the trigger in my asthma inhaler, Flovent (white cannister, orange holder). I looked at the patient information and sure enough it says to advise your doctor if you have an allergy to milk.

Before the milk allergy was diagnoised I reacted VERY badly to both Serentide and Pulimcort (Budosinide), again both say if you have an allergy to milk inform you doctor.

I’m wondering if anyone with a milk allergy have a problem with their Flovent/Flixotide perscription? If so what do you take instead, everything that I read says the same thing. I’m going to the doctor but would like to be a little informed when I walk into the office, please help.
I am ALLERGIC to BOTH MILK PROTEINS (Cassein and Whey) and can’t have either. I have been on this puffer since around 1990 without issues but now I break out in hives everytime I use it (which is twice daily). I am currently taking Ventolin as needed, Flovent 2 puffs, 2X daily, singulair and a prescription allergy pill (can’t remember the name) in the evenings. I can’t simply go off the puffer but am looking to see if anyone with the same conditions has any input on what I could switch to.

A: Are you Lactose intolerant or allergic to milk protein?

My son is allergic to milk AND has asthma…he used the INTAL inhaler for years, but now he takes Singulair in the pill form, every day. This pill has been wonderful!

My son is allergic to Milk protein so he’s been able to use the Intal inhaler as a preventive.

If you are lactose intolerant…you will not be able to use most preventive inhalers. Ask your Doctor about the Singulair…Best of Luck!

Q: I had a dream and I was wondering what it meant?
before I tell the dream you should know that i can speed solve a Rubik’s cube in a minute and thirty-five seconds(knowing that will come in useful later)
you should also know that I also have asthma, one of the inhalers I use is a Flovent(the chemical inside the inhaler) It’s one you use 1-2 times a day and not the one you would carry with you for emergencies
so here’s the dream:

I remember Walking around in the mall with a character from a book I read, her name was Loor and she was a beautiful, sexy, warrior from a distant planet. I eventually remember going into a really crowded shop, like a Dicks 5 & 10 only it was very very small, actually, it looked more like a messy room than a shop. anyway I go to the back and theres a desk with a big strong looking man behind it and on the desk is a small Rubik’s cube encrusted with what looked like fake diamonds. I tell the man that I can solve it in 1:30 and he asks me if I’m a world record holder, I say no, not by a long shot but I can still solve it. so I pick it up and twist it and it starts to fall apart. I tell him I’m terribly sorry as I frantically try to put it back together, but when I look up I see him throwing his fist at my face. the next thing I remember I’m running outside the shop and I come to two men sitting at a table, I tell them
“the man in that shop over there is chasing me because I broke his Rubik’s cube, so if you see him call security”
Then the two men get up and briskly walk away. I then see a Flovent
inhaler on the table and at first I think it’s mine but then I realize the cap is differant so I pick it up and bring it to him.
and that was my dream

(for the record I’ve taken apart my Rubik’s cube and put it back together several times and it’s never broken)

and I can’t recall what happened to Loor once I went into the shop.

A: When we are awake(conscious) with a lot of certain feelings of thoughts that go on through our minds and if we have no yet let go of the feeling or solved it then we will bring the problems or feelings to the sleeping(unconscious mind).

For example, you get into a fight with someone and it got you angry and it went through your mind all day and you have not forgiven the person or what not, so before you go to sleep, you still have that anger in you and those thoughts and you have not solved it so then you bring the problems and thoughts into your dreams and you could be possibly be dreaming of getting into a fight with someone because you brought anger and fights into your dream.

another example is if you had a crush on someone and you kept that person in your mind all day, so then you get that feeling of love and thoughts of love, and if those thoughts are still strong right before you sleep then you will possibly have dreams of love and such.

Your dreams could also explain what you would possibly do. By this I mean for example; I was so dedicated to not steal anymore, but in my dreams I had the intentions to steal and rob a bank ect. Therefore that tells me that consciously I still have the intentions to steal, so I should work on knowing better that stealing is wrong, which then I realized that it was totally wrong, then there was no more dreams of it.

OR sometimes we could just get totally weird dreams. Lets think about this though, the dream is nothing more than thoughts in our own head. Think about this, how is this dream going to benefit me or any other person in this world? Isn’t this dream just an illusion in my mind? The dream is nothing more than the past now. It is time to focus on the present moment because we could possibly die tomorrow, next week, in the next 2 years, so shouldn’t we enjoy every moment of living instead of wondering what our dream meant?
